Software Engineer Associate | ICF International | Charleston, SC

ICF International seeks a Senior Software Engineer to work in our
Charleston, SC office. The team in Charleston is primarily focused on
delivering Enterprise Software Solutions to the public sector on the
J2EE platform. They also provide services to the private sector and
work with other technologies.
Roles/Responsibilities include:
- Performing high complexity (i.e. system level applications) analysis,
design, development and unit testing of software applications from user
requirements and design documents.
- Resolving defects encountered during various testing cycles.
- Developing, Operating and Maintaining code written in J2EE for BEA
WebLogic Server.
- Troubleshooting production outages.
- Authoring technical documentation and UML diagrams.
- Debugging code written by other software engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or
equivalent experience).
- 4+ years experience in a mature software engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience in Java development and runtime environments for
J2EE platform.
- Experience with BEA WebLogic Server, and Workshop.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of Java enterprise components including
Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), Java Messaging Service (JMS) and Java
technology.
- Familiarity with the following technologies: XML, SOAP, Web Services,
JDBC, RMI, JMS, JNDI, JCA, JTA, JAAS, Struts, Hibernate, Spring.
- Experience with XML, EDI, and related technologies.
- Working knowledge of the Software Engineering lifecycle.
- Knowledge of CMMi or RUP.
Desired skills:
- Real-world experience with Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Experience with BEA WebLogic Integration.
- Experience with DOD Financial and Acquisition Systems.
